Kinderlandesfeiertag 2026: Kinder entdecken Niederösterreich

Following the great success of last year’s event, the Children’s National Day Celebration will once again take place on 15 November. This year, the program will be expanded for the first time to include partner institutions in all four regions of Lower Austria. The museum gugging, together with the VISTA Science Experience Center, is proudly participating in this special day dedicated to children and families.

Look forward to a diverse program that brings together art, creativity, and the spirit of discovery:

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Workshop for the youngest visitors: Color Laboratory (ages 0–5)
Through playful color mixing, children and their accompanying adults will experience their first artistic phenomena and create their own colorful artworks.

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Family Tour: Anniversary Exhibition “20 Years of museum gugging”

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Workshop for all ages: Creativity in Science and Art
In cooperation with the VISTA Science Experience Center, participants will explore the role creativity plays in both science and art and activate their own creative thinking through simple, hands-on methods. Registration is available here.

Workshop schedule:
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the VISTA Science Experience Center

Admission to all program activities is free of charge.

The Children’s National Day Celebration offers families the opportunity to experience art and science in a playful way and to discover new perspectives together.
