Description
Symmetry surrounds us everywhere – in nature, art, and architecture. A leaf, a butterfly, the human face, or the patterns of snowflakes – all of these are often structured symmetrically. But why does symmetry fascinate us so much?
In this workshop, we explore symmetry through play. Using printing and painting techniques, we create imaginative beetles by applying the principle of symmetry. We design our own creatures whose body halves mirror and complement each other. With a variety of colors and patterns, we discover how symmetry influences the expression and form of our creations.
