Our safety precautions


We care for your safety and the safety of our employees and look forward to welcoming you back to our museum!
You can get your admission tickets in advance via our online store (in German only). Please present your ticket at entry. You do not need to register for a visit since we do not have time slots. Your tickets are valid for one year after their purchase.

 

Current protective measures at a glance:

  • at the moment no masks are required for visitors 
  • We kindly ask you to wear an FFP2 mask also during the guided tours, events, workshops, etc.
  • Please keep distance from all persons who do not live in your household. 
  • Wash your hands regularly. Disinfection dispensers are available in numerous locations throughout the building. We still recommend that you bring your own sanitizer.
  • The house of artists and the open atelier gugging are currently closed to visitors for precaution.

Frequently asked questions

Is registration necessary to visit the museum?

A registration for a visit to our museum is currently not required (no timeslot booking). You are welcome to visit us any time.

Is a 2G proof required for the museum visti?

No, currently no 2G proof is required for visiting the museum.

Please stay home if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing so that a significant contribution can be made to reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Do I have to wear a mask in the museum?

No, at the moment no masks are required for visitors

How do I obtain my ticket?

We recommend the purchase of online tickets to avoid waiting times or long queues at the ticket office. The online ticket will be sent by e-mail to the specified e-mail address. Please present your print@home ticket at the entrance to museum gugging (printed or digital). Online tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Registration for your visit is not necessary.
Alternatively, the admission counter at the entrance is still available for ticket purchases. Of course, contactless payment is also possible and preferred.

How much does a ticket cost?

A one-time admission ticket to museum gugging costs EUR 8,00. Discounts and other offers can be found here. We ask for your understanding that reduced admission and guided tour tickets (Niederösterreich-CARD, family pass, Ö1 Club, ÖAMTC, etc.) can only be purchased at the admission counter.

How is the online ticket delviered?

Online tickets are sent by e-mail to the e-mail address you provide and can be printed as a print@home ticket or displayed digitally on your smartphone. Registration for your visit is not necessary.

How can I book an online ticket for children under 7?

Children under 7 years of age are admitted free of charge. If you come accompanied by an adult with an online ticket, no separate ticket or queuing at the ticket office is required. Please note that you must add a free online ticket to your shopping cart for each child under 7 years of age when you make your purchase, because ALL persons need a ticket upon entry.

Can I book a ticket for a specific time?

When purchasing a ticket, it is not necessary to choose a time (date, time) for visiting the museum. The ticket is valid until one year after the date of purchase and entitles to one-time admission to museum gugging. There are no timeslots for visits.

Contact Tracing

Currently there is no obligation for contact tracing, but you are welcome to register voluntarily.

When you enter the museum you can either register via your smartphone using the QR code available at the entrance or you fill out the form available and drop it in the box provided.

Your data will be stored in compliance with DSGVO. The contact tracing data will be irrevocably deleted after 28 days, as required by the registration regulation.

What are the opening hours of the museum?

The museum gugging is open from Tuesday to Sunday, and on public holidays 10:00 - 17:00 all year round.

Are guided tours currently available?

Guided tours, workshops or other events are taking place currently.

Is the museum shop open?

The museum gift shop is open for you during the museum opening hours (Tue - Sun, holidays. 10:00 - 17:00).

Is the café-bistro on campus open?

Yes. The opening hours are Tue - Sun, holidays, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

How to get my event ticket
