Leopoldifest in November

Leopoldi.jpg

St. Leopold is the patron saint of Lower Austria and Vienna, and November 15 is the holiday of the saint. The Leopoldifest is celebrated on and around this date in Klosterneuburg. On the square in front of town hall there is a fair with game booths, roundabouts, market stands, and numerous attractions. In the Babenberger hall the winegrowers of Klosterneuburg serve their products. Klosterneuburg Monastery – more precisely, in the Binderstadl – hosts the traditional “cask sliding” event. From Gugging you can either take Kierlinger Straße or follow the path over the Ölberg.

Travel time to/from museum gugging by car: ca. 12 min.
Footpath to/from museum gugging: ca. 1:10 hrs. (Kierlinger Tal), 1:25 hrs. (Ölberg)
